Algerian Project - Pipeline Engineering and Survey Management
UniversalPegasus provided overall supervision and quality control over local survey crews for the routing and preliminary survey of three 48- inch crude oil pipelines at three different locations in Algeria. Work was accomplished in about three months in 2004. UniversalPegasus performed the mapping and drafting work in Houston.
Baku-Tbilsi-Ceyhan ("BTC") Pipeline Project
UniversalPegasus provided BOTAS Petroleum Pipeline Corporation project management (owner's engineer) services to the Turkish National Pipeline Authority ("BOTAS") for the start-up, commissioning, operations and maintenance of the 1,768- kilometer (1,099- miles) BTC crude oil pipeline from the Azeri-Chirag-Guneshili oil field in the Azerbaijan to Ceyhan, a port on the south-eastern Mediterranean coast of Turkey. It is the second longest oil pipeline in the world after the Druzhba pipeline.
Conoco Ecuador Block 16 Projects
UniversalPegasus provided pipeline engineering assistance to Conoco Ecuador Ltd. for route planning, design criteria, pipeline facilities design, alignment engineering, cost estimating and technical specifications for design and construction of over 100 km of dual main pipelines and flow lines to be constructed in the Orient Region of Ecuador as part of the Block 16 Development Program. UniversalPegasus has also provided civil, process, and electrical engineering assistance for Block 16 production facilities design. As part of the project, UniversalPegasus has also advised various Ecuadorian engineering companies in computer aided drafting systems to correlate with Conoco engineering requirements.
Severnaya, Russia Compressor Station Project
UniversalPegasus provided engineering design, drafting, material procurement assistance and on- site construction advisors to Enron Engineering and Construction for the installation of a 28,000 BHP natural gas compressor station located 15 miles from the center of St. Petersburg, Russia. The station consists of four Solar Taurus Ggas Tturbines;- driven compressors, inlet gas scrubbers, high pressure gas piping, fuel gas building, fuel gas heater; compressor buildings, pressurized control rooms, lube oil conditioning building, waste heat recovery units PLC-based automated control system; and a diesel-fueled standby generator. UniversalPegasus also prepared project documentation including project calculation manuals, job data books, construction packages manuals, station operations manuals and equipment manuals.
China West-to-East Pipeline Project
UniversalPegasus provided PetroChina Company Ltd., prepared a feasibility study and cost estimate, and provided consulting supervision and training services to PetroChina Company Ltd. for the engineering design, procurement and construction for a 4,000- kilometer (2,500- mile) long natural gas pipeline, which runs from Lunnan in Xinjiang to Shanghai. The pipeline passes through 66 counties and 10 provinces in China.
